Description
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease. There is no evidence of widespread transmission of COVID-19 in the United States at this time. Without sustained human-to-human transmission, most American workers are not at significant risk of infection. COVID-19 is spread through close person to person contact (within 6 feet) and through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes, these droplets land in the mouths or noses o f people who are nearby or possibly can be inhaled into the lungs. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not the primary way the virus spreads.
